In Union Repair store, we grade our iPhone screens into five different types based on the quality of materials used in the assembly. The following are the full details of each condition:

Aftermarket Basic

This is a widely accepted replacement for original parts, providing a good balance between price and quality. It is produced with components sourced from multiple factories in China, including popular brands like JK, AUO, LongTeng, and ShenChao. The brightness and sharpness of the LCD from JK are considered the best, followed by AUO. All other components are aftermarket replacements.

Aftermarket Standard

This option is better than Aftermarket Basic as it uses original laminated flex cables and the LCD panel. Other components like the touch panel, frame (hot pressed), backlight, polarizing lens, and OCA are sourced from various factories but are aftermarket.

Aftermarket Selected

The core components, such as the LCD and flex cables, are 100% original, pulled from used iPhones, while the frame and touch panel are aftermarket. The touch panel and frame are assembled with cold-pressed glue in a third-party factory to ensure good quality.

Original Pulls

These screens are taken from used iPhones, and all parts are 100% original and in perfect working condition, just like a new screen. The only potential downside is that some displays may have one or two scratches, but they are still highly regarded by customers seeking high-quality parts.

Original New

These screens are 100% original, sourced directly from Apple-authorized factories like Toshiba, Sharp, and LG. We acquire these from first-level dealers. The touch panel is oleophobic-coated to prevent fingerprints, and from iPhone 7 onward, backlight components from different factories are identified by specific codes. For example, Sharp's backlight starts with DKH/CON, Toshiba's begins with C11/F7C/FZQ, and LG's starts with DTP/C3F.
