Cell phone manufacturers usually use custom cut tape pieces that perfectly fit every area that they need to go, but for the DIYer you need something that you can mold and shape to get into the right position (I used the points of tweezers and the tip of a knife for this). Be careful not to overlap pieces or you'll increase depth, but overall, this product works well. It's holding my phone together right now.
